DAY 1 Depart our respective hotels at 7:30 in the morning a 30-40mins drive to the City of Banjul where we are ferried across Barra on the North Bank. Drive to Farafenni which is he main commercial town on the North Bank Region and on to the Wassu Stone Circle on board a Double-Decker boat for a four hours boat trip in The Gambia River. During the cruise we will stop at Baboon Island to visit the chinpanzee rehabilitation center and we have good chance to spot hippos and crocodiles in the wild. Lunch is cooked on board the boat. Dinner and entertainment is provided by the Mandinka women during an overnight stay in a typically built African Round House in Jangjang Bureh Camp.
DAY 2 Depart at 8:00hrs after breakfast for a tour of colonial Georgetown where we will see the slave market, the underground slave house, the Freedom Tree and the Colonial Governors Residence. We will then cross the river and drive through the South Bank Region of the Gambia with a stop at Bintang Bolong Lodge for Lunch. Then we have a final drive back to your respective hotel.and by 6pm we will deliver you back to your hotel.
